I think I'm gonna wait a month or two to see if people are still liking the game.

My usual levelling strategy at this point is based mostly around how fast scenario queues pop. If the queues are near instant I will hang out in the appropriate warcamp for that scenario and just repeat the scenario completion/kill X players quests found there. If there are longer delays between queues I will pick out a chapter with influence rewards I want and just grind the first stage of the PQs for that chapter while waiting for queues. If there are no queues or inf rewards that I want then I will quest while I can.
The keep siege aspect of the game is by far the most fun. I love the bigger keeps in T3/T4 and how with coordination and good use of siege equipment you can hold off a pretty large force. My primary bitch with siege at present is simply the fact that Oil is way too easy to destroy. It is retardedly powerful while up but I feel that they should make it to where a couple of Sorcs/Bright Wizzies can't drop the Oil in 2 seconds flat. Perhaps it should be made to where the directly targetted siege weapons (cannons and the like) do massive damage to it while players can't hit it so hard. It is pretty much the best way to get people off your door. Though concentrated fire from a few hellblasters/organ guns/repeating ballistas can have similar effect especially in t4 where they can hit for over 1k on crits. If there is an active population doing keep siege at 40 this will provide a good bit of fun. Though I think like planetside it will get old fairly quickly if they don't do something to keep it interesting.

I don't know if they can change it to keep it interesting, but I do know they will do an alright job of balancing classes/siege/etc, they've got a lot of practice doing that.
I'm pretty sure their plan is to not change RvR. They want to do what they did with DAoC imo which is get a decent foundation for fun and let it keep the players playing/paying.

I agree it isn't as pretty as WoW though. The world design seems pretty hit or miss. Like the Chaos starting area is awesome. And in T4 the Chaos Wastes zone looks really cool a lot of charred corpses sticking out of the ground. I have to say the elf area is by far the most disappointing on both the High Elf and Dark Elf sides especially in T1-3. The tier 4 dark elf keeps however look pretty cool and fit their silly spikey ass architecture fairly well. Praag is also a pretty cool zone a lot of it reminds me of Stratholme in WoW where you just have a big ass burning city.
What class/race did you start out as?

Also the armor etc looks like complete ass for just about every race/class until you get into tier 3 when they really start to improve and then again in upper tier 4 it gets a lot more detailed.

Got a 12 Witch Elf. Played a couple others, meh, like the Witch Elf.
Runs like complete dick, but I think my lag helps me win (ftw).

Yeah, they've acknowledged that it doesn't run too well on lower end systems, which is high on their priority list. We'll see where that goes.
