I disagree. They are Destruction therefore they suck by default. I have heard bright wizzies can be quite amusing though!

Actually I think Bright Wizards are just straight up more ownage than Sorcs from what I have been reading. They just have a bit more AE I guess.

Last night I played my War Priest for about 3 hours. I have to say I have a hardon for this class in PvP. I was straight up rocking people compared to any other class I played. I can easily hold my own against any other class 1v1 and only Tanks and Disciples really seemed to be able to even put up a fight. Of the DPS classes only the Marauder seemed to even be able to take what I was doing to them for any length of time. They can easily solo the first tier PvP objectives (handful of mobs and a champion mob). At level 9 I took down a level 10 champion mob while a level 7 player Shaman was trying to kill me at the same time and easily killed both of them. If you plan on soloing a ton or playing at hours where you don't have a regular PvP group I have to recommend this class over any other. It will be the first Alt I play I think once my Swordmaster hits max level etc.

I've only played one class past lvl 5, dwarf engineer. I'm having lots of fun with it and its awesome in pvp as long as you got meat shields or other melee hitters with you. In world pvp I've often survived for one hour or more of constant battle, getting ridiculous killing streaks. I've heard other engies whining about their low dps, but that's because they suck. Ive been lucky with finding guns though (pvp drops mostly) so maybe that helps with the dps...at lvl 10 I routinely hit for around 150-180 with regular gun blast and crit for 250+.
It's pretty much the opposite though...I mean, it's a good class in pvp when you have a lot of players on both sides. If you're 1 on 1 your turret will probably get taken down first (whereas it usually gets ignored in a mass battle), and if you're fighting a melee class the most you can do is a very short root (barbed wire or something). If you're lucky your pvp bar is at lvl 1 and you can use point blank, the engie knockback attack. If the melee is even leveled you wont be able to keep him away or kill him before he closes in (barring certain geographical areas like hills, walls, etc where they cant reach you). The best way to play this class is to go back and forth the front lines picking targets of opportunity (healers and other ranged classes), retreating behind the meat shields if you're getting killed, rinse and repeat. Most of the time if tanks are same level as you the dmg is drastically reduced, so I only focus dmg on them when they have no healers or support left, not counting AoE like acid grenade.

As your PvP rank goes up you can just buy decent weapons and armor from the renown merchants.

Honestly the drops from enemy players are much much better than anything from the Renown merchants, from what ive seen. I recently got a lvl 17 rifle from pvp, amazing ballistics and dps, and ive had 3 other rifle drops, one at rank 5, at rank 7 and at rank 9. Public quests also have ok gear if you end up getting a green loot bag.

Fucking hurricane keeps making my power flicker only a matter of time before it goes out. Sigh. Totally fucking up my warhammer time. Been playing a Rune Priest today. I have to say all of the healers seem pretty mobile. You can cast your 1 sec cast heal, insta cast HoT, and insta cast shield on the run so it's pretty easy to keep yourself up with someone beating on you. I started PvPing at 3 in the human area and I have never once been less than 1st for order and 3rd total for healing. Pretty amusing class but I think the War Priest is still the more fun of the 3.

I feel guilty for wanting a hurricane to hit us...no classes is always nice. We've been pretty lucky so far, they all barely touched us, but the season ain't over yet.

This shit has been a clusterfuck. I still don't have power at my apt. Stupid hurricanes.

So far my Swordmaster is pretty fun but no where near as good in PvP as was any of my healers. At this 15ish fucking healers destroy me 1v1. *shrug*

I was born and raised here in Clearwater, I work in Tampa for an Engineering Consultant. Sounds like there are 4 or 5 of use all within a few hours drive of each other.

On the PvE front my SM has gone from being a complete pussy being able to maybe kill 2 even con normal mobs and get destroyed by a champion up til about 14ish to being a fucking beast. I have picked up a couple of AE abilities and now between me and a runepriest we can kill about 15-20 even con mobs at once haha. Age of Conan AE levelling anyone?!

Yeah, AoE leveling is the fast way up for sure. Have two players in the guild that are lvl 32 already as of last night for their CE head start. Is a Bright Wizard - Rune Priest combo. At lvl 20, the XP tracker showed them making over 120K exp/hr. They then added an Ironbreaker who sole job is to put Guard on the wizard, hold the Guild Banner (+10% exp bonus) and loot the corpses. At lvl 30, the XP tracker was showing them at 230K exp/hr for each of them.
