It's pretty much only a matter of time before this appears in every MMO. The question is how long before Funcom actually does something about it. I don't think SOE has fixed all of the VG haxx even now.

That's pretty bad. I don't even remember hacks for WOW. Bots yes.

I think blizzard probably has a bit more experience dealing with haxx than other companies considering how much shit was done to rape bnet games over the years. They also have significantly more resources. Still some of these hacks are way out of hand and should be fixed insanely quicklike even if it means dumping fuckloads of cash into just that. This as much as anything destroyed the PvP server in VG.

They don't need to fix the holes the hack exploits, they just need to find a way to figure out who is using it.

Years ago (the 80's) my programmer/good friend could never go into a program through the start button, always had to find a hack in through some code side-door. Got to be thousands of people like that. I think the only partial solution is to hire hackers in some fashion and pay them a bounty to find and beat their fellow hackers. Blade Runner.

It wasn't as much of a diss to AOC's hackability as it was another straw on the camels back that is AOCs badness.

Out of all the websites that I help to run I think this one is the most work due to the spam spots. It seems like I'm deleting and banning accounts at least once every few days, who knows how many the other admins get to before me.

I can't afford to contribute anything to the bills anymore. I assume Jil has been paying everything. If this place ever goes down you guys should consider our forums at the epic sandbox as backup. That way we won't ever lose each other if the site goes down.
