So I won a capture card in a Rainbow Six Vegas 2 tournament. It's a Hauppauge HDPVR, and I also got Pinnacle Studio 14 software package along with it for editing.

Most people would use this to film their awesome kill montages. But I don't think anyone would watch them, even if I added Linkin Park in the background music, right?

I'm going to use it to record nerd rage instead, because people just say the darndest things before they ragequit or kick you from their game.

I changed careers. I'm a software QA analyst. It's still a lot of writing, not as entertaining as writing for an MMO site, but I think I'm with my own kind of analytical thinkers... mostly wrapping my head around software bugs and hardware.

I bought a new rig for gaming. Thought I could maybe get back into some EQ2, but the game that designers once claimed was built for future sustems, doesn't run on multi-core processors. That is probably for the best because from what I remember, MMOs eat weekends. Bah, maybe I'll do WoW again.

I have been playing console mostly. I got the new XBOX. It sounds like Rosie from the Jestons when I turn it on, or switch put a game or when my cat walks past and swishes his tail on it (bing!-bing!). Hardly touch my PS3, ... Nice system that PS3, but the 360 controller fits my hands better and I don't get dropped from multiplayer as much... Well, except for when I get kicked by hosts because my voice is high in pitch and so, I still sound like I'm 12..

For some reason I am playing WoW again. I can't get super into it but at least the little dungeon finder thing means I don't have to actually talk to people to exp doing something other than quests. The only downside is random groups of internet people with no fear of accountability for being worthless tend to be well, worthless. Sigh.

My tits got shot off in the war. Yeah, R6V2, I can't quit, mkay. It has a nice match finding system, the ragdoll physics that I like, dedtructable environments, and no sissy aim helper like in Call of Doodie.

Plus I get to play as a girl and wear pink faggity armor iggity-giggity!

Currently playing Horde side on Shattered Halls, which is pretty much a complete piece of shit server. One of my RL friends got lured there by his boss or some shit, then a couple of other RL friends joined him, so I moved one of my warriors (Hetaera) there as well but never really played it til recently. It's pretty much a terribad server but with the cross server matchmaking these days it doesn't really matter so long as your battlegroup is reasonable. (though I think ours probably sucks too lol)

We just started fucking around with Arenas (as in started last night) out of lack of something better to do. Getting our faces kicked in most games because I am still new to playing my warrior as something other than a tank, my buddy is new to healing on his shaman, neither of us have done arenas before, and well we have complete shit gear. But it's pretty fun as a whole. Usually when we get roflstomped it's so bad it's hilarious. Our first match this boomkin and mage killed both of us in under 20 seconds.

I will admit I liked the first Rainbow Six Vegas just because it was simplified to the point of being reasonably playable on a console. I am pretty terrible at console FPS as a whole though, I would mostly just run around with a shotgun and try to catch people coming through a door with a shotgun blast to the face. Yeah.

Sid, no worries, I have no interest in Snuggs beyond using her breasts as a serving platter. She's all yours!

I tried Arenas with my affliction Warlock and my friends Holy Priest (he was used to raiding) and we got wtfraped all over the place. We played this one Pally/DK team and they literally one to two hit both of us. We did beat one team twice because somehow they were worse than us, but that was it.

The only Rainbow Six I played was in I think 2000, I couldn't take it, all the realism. I blew myself up so many times with grenades. CS for life! (BF2 is cool too)

Nerd rage gen is pretty much the best part of online gaming. Probably why MMOs still manage to hold my attention after all these years. If I am bored I can always ruin someone's day. Like, people who ask me to loot mobs so they can skin them, if they do it too much, I just wait til right before the last boss on a random, and vote to kick them out. Most people hate everyone so they always vote to kick.

Doing arenas we basically lost our first 5 games in a row, then won one and traded off wins and losses for the next 20 games or so. Going to change up my gear a bit and see if I can milk a little more damage out against the teams that fuck us up. We currently lose most matches to well geared 2 DPS, or teams with a ridiculously well geared healer. I simply don't put out enough damage and my friend's shammy eventually just runs out of mana before the other healers which have an easier time being mana efficient. Hopefully one of our other friends will be joining soon and we can get things a bit more balanced out in threes. Who knows! It's still pretty fun in a gay guild wars kinda way. Will keep me busy until FFXVI comes out and entertains me for a week before I uninstall it lol.
