Anyone been dicking with this besides me? Seems like it has been in open beta since sometime last week. I haven't really been following the game but I will try anything out once.
It's mildly entertaining, a gimpy cross between SWG ground combat and EVE space combat mixed with a little Star Trek: Fleet Command. I don't think I will be dropping Aion for this unless it gets waaaay better once you get the second tier ships. I guess I'll find out soon enough... La de da.

There is PVP but I am not 100% on how it works. You can't access all of the areas yet and I am not sure if there are more races or not.
From what I understand there is a "nuetral" zone where the federation and klingons can go at it. You have to do some low level quest as a federation character to unlock making a Klingon. After that you have to get to level 6 to PvP. Within the nuetral zone there are sectors with different types of battleground type bullshit. Like some are gay competing over PvE objectives and others I think are more direct combat. There is also some sort of queuing. The past few times I have played there have been bugs with it so I haven't dicked with any of it. I am still really low "level" though so not much experience with it.
I don't think there is any sort of looting. I don't even know if there is a death penalty for PvE much less PvP. *shrug*
