La de da. My Templar is like 44. Dropped out of the guild I was in because they cried about me talking about penetrating assholes in global chat channels. Joined up with some newbie friends from WH who just started playing plus grabbed Bonedead though I think he may be weakening in his will to survive the ridic PvE to get ahead. I have collected a random gang of people who are entertaining enough on ventrilo to help me through the dark hours of PvE so hopefully I will be getting to the good part soon.

That said, just about everyone I know who is a daoc-style pvp fag has quit mid-late 30s/early 40s and gone back to Warhammer. About the only value I see in Warhammer over this game is being able to level doing scenarios. Once you are max level, I think the combat is pretty gay in both with Aion having a slight advantage cuz fighting/chasing/running while flying is p fun I must say. Both have the same fighting over meaningless pvp objectives.

PvE wise there is no comparisson. Aion tromps the shit out of Warhammer though obv falling a bit behind the more polished experiences you can find in EQ/WoW.

The levelling curve is getting pretty ridic the higher I get. I would estimate I will spend 20-30 hours of play time getting from 44 to 45. I think you could prolly do it a bit faster doing quests but I hate soloing in these games so most of my experience gain is dungeon grinding and/or group quests.

Kinda amusing seeing some of the guilds on the other team. The exciting Virakar guild we played with in Vanguard is playing Elyos, and the Empyreans guild I was in for part of my WH time also plays Elyos on the server I am playing on. Can't wait to finish up the levelling and kill myself some of these folks. Or kill myself IRL. Whichever comes first!

I think my buddy is still playing his cleric, almost caught up to me I think, still doing TG. I don't know what I'm doing. I bought AoC for 5 dollars which was a sweet deal, especially since I get double xp pots and mammoth mounts for all my toons.

I dunno. The BGs remind me of GW. I'm only like level 34 or somethin but I haven't been playing it this last week either. Trying to Fallen Earth trial, which I'm probably buying today, and I'm having an okay time in it. I like the feel of the world. In the first zone (Sector 1) there are a few PvP areas, the one I've been to is almost like a junkyard with those big shipping crates that people smuggle shit in on big boats. Very exciting, plus it is an MMO with fps combat that you can even zoom out during and change to a third person shooter. Everything real big.

I moved my blog to http://bdadv.wordpress.com and it is a bit perdier. I've got some stuff with my thoughts on Aion, AoC, a little Fallen Earth.

I can still play Aion for 2 days but I'm probably not going to. It sure is nice having all of these new games, it is like the good old days where I can cycle through them every month and not be overplaying them (like I did with DAoC, AO, everything).

I hate shit like that. I mean come on, there is a profanity filter, enabled by default! I bet the game is rated M too. They put in all that bullshit to protect little kids and you can still get banned for calling someone a fucking cockbag. I got banned from Digg for doing what everyone already did, I just did it on the day they added in their profanity filter and it didn't catch it. Some fag posted a movie under images and I said nice image fag. Sons of bitches.

How is big boy PvP? I've been there for keep defense/attack once in the lower abyss but didn't see hardly any action (though I was invited to the group). Is it gay?

It's definitely going to require a bit of gear and a good PvP group. Probably something along the lines of the 8v8 shit in DAoC though this would be more like 6v6 since that is the group size. I dunno how the Abyss plays out really as I only go there to turn in quests and such as keep sieges in my experience have been really boring. Rifting however seems to be good fun. There are only like 3 high level rifts in Beluslan (the most popular zone for asmos) so the exits in Heiron (elyos equivalent zone) are typically camped. So really all you have to do typically is zone over and you are fighting. You pretty much have immunity until you move, so getting your group over together without getting raped isn't too bad.

The PvE in Aion definitely gets better as you level. I just hit 50 yesterday thanks to my ban and spent most of the evening helping a friend with their level 43 weapon quest so I haven't tried 2 of the 3 instances people run at 50 but the ones I have done are pretty cool if you like that sort of thing.

Haha, she knows. The biggest thing was the women in vent (mainly because theyre uber attention whores and they giggle). Well the big fat woman left the guild all drama style, go figure, fat girls causing drama online.

I never really didn't like DF. I'm almost always on the edge of my seat and there just isn't another game that can do that. I don't know if I'm stickin with my guild or not, they're kinda gay, but maybe they'll be okay. I still can't decide.
