This post is broken on the front page and I have no idea how to fix it >.< Links don't work and the formatting is screwed. Taking it out of quotes didn't help =\

Links don't work on the front page. A few of my beta sign up posts did the same. As for DF, I don't see myself having the necessary time to play it in a worthwhile manner save for a 3-4 day weekend here and there.

I bought it and played for a bit last night. They seemed to have fixed a LOT of my complaints. I'm having a lot of fun. As long as you have someone to play with the game is pretty good. If anyone wants to hit me up in game my name is Ramrod Beardstroke. I'm the most awesome purple d0rf ever, haha.

I started to play last night, iam really getting bored quickly, i hate the fact you can set your view above, I hate this first person view. so to sum it up I spent 3 hours running around looking for something to kill so i could buy a frikin axe or scythe or pick axe so i could start harvesting, the only things I could find close by me was a goblin camp, them suckers agro like bears on honey, iam not sure I could even kill one if it was alone, I need serious help getting started iam starting to really hate this game cause its a big waste of time, LOL.
oh ps i did find a chest while i was running around it had 100g in it, and low and be hold i didnt have the old UO mentality instilled in me at that time so when I died at the goblins on my way back to the town, it didnt dawn on my to go back and find my gravestone, so guess what any hope of getting some gold went down the tubes LOL, anyway i want to play this thing for at least a month- my trial period. please suggest something, this is worse than UO at getting started LOL, but I loved UO and this game is bringing back some good memories.

Holy macaroni, Bobbie's first post on the new boards.

I would advise you to join a clan/guild with a town asap. That's what I did in the EU release and I had way more fun than everyone else who played (from here).

Yeah this game definitely struck me as one that you need friends in. Not to mention it is INSANELY boring by itself. You need other people to actually have something worth mentioning to do. *shrug*

I actually find the game fun but I wish it were more populated... not sure how long it will survive with a low pop.

What guilds/alliances from EU-1 switched over to NA-1? Or are they all waiting for the 3 month transfer?

I know for sure that Necessary Evil moved from EU, or maybe they're on both servers. That's the guild I'm currently in.

I caved, i bought it and joined a guild the necromongers (because going solo in DF is awful). But yeah its alright, i'm mainly focusing on 2h sword, parry, and weaponsmithing because items matter so fucking much. Grind grind grind, farm farm farm. Bah, i hate mmos i think...

I'll probably just pay this till Face of Mankind re-launches...

I resubbed WoW and finally made it to the first expansion, level 61, woo! I wonder if I can make it to 70 or 80.
