If the blog component to these forums allows for multiple people posting on the blog from their accounts, I'm going to purchase that option. After that, I will modify the way the site looks and we should be good to go.

OK, the blog component looks like it will give people the capability to have their own blogs and it looks like it ties into the forums.

I've started the ball rolling on getting it installed.

"whatevs" is pretty gay but it isn't as widespread as "blog" and didn't spawn off a large series of other gay words like "blogger", "blogosphere" or "photoblog". While on the subject I also hate every word based on "pod" like "podcast" which is a fucking stupid word and whoever came up with it should be stabbed to death with a thousand rock hard cocks.

Yeah but what word should be used instead of blog? I mean it's pretty descriptive and useful. You are basically saying a web log or journal that can only be found online.

It is small. We are hoping to build it back up but mort is soley responsible for all the features. All of us are more than willing to provide content. News, articles, reviews, previews, opinions. We do it all.

Mort took it down because it was causing all kinds of problems. But I think that the new web site will be a lot better especially if he can get a main page to display news, blogs and recent posts. Similar to before but with a few more options and a slightly more functional face.

So, I'm a long time lurker (probably since 2003ish?).

What happened to the old page? Looks like the community is pretty small these days.

Basically, the code that ran the site was around 7 years old. Since I never updated it, some asshat found an exploit and started injecting javascript into the database, which, in turn, spat out the links all over the old site.

Then google got involved and labelled pker.org a compromised site that hosted malicious code.

So...everything got shit-canned and I started from scratch. I figured the easiest thing to do is to pay for forum software/blog software/whatever else and let those people take care of the technical crap so I don't have to.
