So I have been playing Demigod pretty regularly and I think that there is one demigod that is seriously OP. That DG is Regulus. I think the fact that he can snipe any enemy as long as he can see him is complete bullshit. On top of that it does extra damage based on the distance it travels. I think the main issue is that its not limited in range but only by sight. Anyone else think this is a little OP?

I don't think he's that op because of his lack of an area/wide range attack... He can only kill things one at a time (if i remember his tree correctly i think only the max lvl transform spell has an ae blast) but he is very good at killing demigods, which i think is the point. On the downside I always thought he was slow to lvl up because he couldn't kill mobs fast enough.

If you compare him to rook for example, rook can hammer smash a full group of mobs in essentially 1 shot and lvl up at crazy speeds but he is slow moving. So i think there is a good balance between them all...

Yeah but if i'm not mistaken it takes until the last lvl in that to get the aoe. Isn't that like lvl 15 or something? So he would have to kill a lot of creeps (which takes him a while to do) or lvl up mainly by taking back flags... I personally think he shines in solo battles (1v1) where he can harass the other demigod and constantly pursue flags while retreating to the protection of his towers when things get hairy (and still being able to shoot from there).

But the key is to get quick xp imo and he has a harder time doing that than other DG's, which is where the balance comes in imo...

Yeah, you can either spec him to kill 1v1 really hardcore with the snipe abil, or you can spec him toward the wings ability where his hits explode, but it's not useful to do both. And yes, increasing range for him is a priority, but he is fragile as all hell. He's meant to be a single target, long range DPSer, but if he gets stunned or gets someone on him, he's toast. You really need to pick at the edges with him. I can say from playing him that a well placed stun or snare will wreck his world against say the Vampire or Unclean Beast up close.

yeah, exactly... That's why I like the rook so much, pure power wrecking machine, although I'm still trying to get comfortable with a nice alternate character so i don't get bored with just one...

Fyi he gets the aoe attack after using just one skill point in angelic fury. Its just like a cleave attack.

I have been playing with torchbearer and he is such fun to play with.

If I remember correctly, Angelic Fury, the AOE is at the very end of the explosive shot tree which is like late late game, and it costs 500 mana, which if you're speccing down that path you're using mana for shots anyways, so actually I've never found it something effective to use unless I had like unlimited mana.

And yes, Regulus vs Torchbearer fights are interesting in my experience. Like, I actually think the Torchbearer can out DPS Regulus if they're played properly, keeping you in the fire, hitting you with the fireball at the right moment etc. Especially if Regulus is specced toward explosive shots, which I usually am. Oh, and that freeze/stun is freaking awesome as Torchbearer on Regulus, especially if you're double teaming with the dog.

yeah i find regulus to be very mana dependent due to the fact his specials cost so freakin much...
