Man, I love this game. The only downfall is the crappy matchmaker that times out every so often. I figure it has to do with the large volumes of players online because of release.

I played a copy of my friends, it seemed like it would only be worthwhile to play online as the story mode is non-existent. Merely a tournament style of maps... But yeah...

I never played that Warcraft III mod that this is like, but I did worry that the game might become a bit stale after a while since there isn't a great deal of variety... That being said I thought the 8 characters were pretty well balanced so at least future expansions will be built upon a sturdy foundation...

I think they probably plan on releasing new demigods all the time. By this time next year it should look like the street fighter menu.

I agree, the game is about the multiplayer, and as of Saturday I have basically been unable to join a multiplayer game. So yeah, not a very good first impression. And while there are only 8 demigods, each has about 3 times the complexity of a DotA character's skills, so I think it has a fair amount of variety.

Yes the community is extremely simplistic they really don't understand how to play yet. I absolutely decimate the competition.

Yeah, previous experience with DotA is a definite plus, though already I feel like this is a better balanced, better paced and generally better polished game than DotA was.

Any way to make it so we can easily play together Nubs? Like can I add you via Impulse or something? And what class do you usually play? I've been regulating with Regulus. (See what I did there?)

So can you actually play this stuff online or is it bugged to high hells? And what about cheating? I don't care much for the few exploits already known but has anyone encountered cases of blatant cheating? Unlimited gold/health/minions/whutever.

Also, I like erecting penises all over the map when playing Rook.

They've resolved the issue with pirated people overloading the servers. They did that at the end of last week. Over the weekend I was then having trouble actually connecting, even though I'd forwarded all the ports. But yesterday I joined a game with little effort, I'll test more tonight, but anecdotally it seems better. The game was a teeny bit chuggy while I was playing, but I think someone had a slow computer.

I haven't seen any instances or concerns around cheating. Considering it's through Impulse and stuff, I think it's a little bit more protected from hacking etc than otherwise.

And Rook is for fatties.

And Jil - Stop being a pansy and come play.

My Impulse name is BriNew27 for whoever wants to friend me.

Are you still having problems connecting via Impulse Nubs? Things seem to have cleared up for me, except my last game my teammate died 7 times in a row, then quit, then the 2 guys on the other team were like, "It was basically over anyways" when a single tower hadn't been killed, then both quit.

Stupid.

Not all the time... it depends on what you have and how you have it set up. Running steam/tfc with 100 of a processor is actually pretty bad these days. I have both cores at about 56 or something. Are you running 32bit windows or 64?
