Anyone pick this up yet? I am thinking of grabbing it today to see how it is. I never played the first Fable but I heard good things. If anyone does get it lemme know maybe we can hook up on XBL and jerk off RPG style.

I played it for a few hours last night. I like this game more than I liked the very little I played of oblivion but then I prefer "action game" style hack and slash rpgs to first person. This is like playing a more in depth Heavenly Sword or Dark Kingdom more so than some super faggotized RPG. Before I went to bed I was playing around and slaughtered half the second town you get to which was amusing. The guards catch you and you can pay a huge fine, resist arrest, or do community service. After I got tired of killing everyone I took community service (which essentially amounted to me rescuing a smaller village from some bandits) after doing this the guards don't auto aggro on me but like everyone in town is afraid of me. There is a lot of random dialog the NPCs will spout about you depending on how they feel about you or what you are doing. Another thing I thought was hilarious is the little marriage system. You can like marry the majority of the NPCs and what's even better if your wife talks back to you you can slap her around. Apparently you can fuck any of the NPCs that are of the right sexual orientation (i.e. straight, lesbian, etc) to get with your character and if it's a male/female union you can make babies if you don't wear a rubber! Safe saex ftw?

I am not that far into the game and I will probably start over the next time I play it but it's pretty fun. *shrug*

Fun? Impossible, Molyneux hasn't done anything fun since Populous, Theme Hospital and Dungeon Keeper.

I do want to play this one. The first Fable was decent, it just would have been better if i didnt get all of the hype that it did. It was more of an action game than an RPG too.

Yeah I don't think it's as free form as fallout or oblivion but it's much more fun to actually play *shrug*. It gives you enough choices and depth to be more fun than the average Action game but doesn't force you to deal with all the clunky bullshit more RPGish games do. I haven't played it enough to really find anything I hate aside from the blacksmithing mini-game/job since my eyes start to hurt after staring at a bouncing ball for a long ass time.

What fucked up fable were the numerous promised features that never made it to the final cut and the fact that the game itself felt like it was rushed to get out the door. I felt like Lionhead stole 60 bucks from my pocket. I will never buy another Lionhead Studios game.

I dunno I never played the first fable. Taken as an action game I think the second fable is pretty good. Looking for ridiculous amounts of depth however just doesn't really seem to fit with the playstyle of the game. *shrug*

update:
honestly i've been playing it thorougly again and i can say that i can ACTUALLY replay it with no hard feelings on my last game. Im not saying i want my old guy back, but its not that bad with replayability. just my opinion. i havent played for 2 days just for the sole fact of just acruing money.

Haha my roomate did that. Just bought everything in the game he could (which was like everything but 2 buildings) didn't play for a few days and then came back and bought it all. I guess money adds up pretty quick.
