OMG Level 40

Last night we killed the main boss in Warpblade Tunnels (zomg server first). It was an interesting fight I suppose. Really nothing you couldn't find in a WoW raid instance. The primary difference here is that it's a 6 man instance. Even the trash pulls hurt like a motherfucker. I guess as far as PvE goes it was much better than AoCs attempts but not quite as smooth as WoW shizzle. The lockout timers here are super fucking annoying. They need to change them from exact days to being like 22 hours or 20 hours or something less than a day. As things stand now you essentially have to start later each round you want to farm the gear, or skip a day. La de da.
Keep fights with no defense are pretty sad. We dropped two keeps last night just for loot I wanna say it took about 35 minutes total with 8 people for two tier 4 keeps. Hopefully they put in some way to upgrade these at least to the point where they become somewhat challenging to take.
With fallout 3 coming next week I am glad I got getting to 40 over with! I am sure I will be spending a good deal of time slaughtering mutants haha.

I've not ventured very far out of T1 so I know my view is a bit skewed but as Jil says, you don't start looking different until T3. That is kind of crappy you know. But there are positives still.
Like the Squig Herder and the Maurader. I don't believe I've seen a class before that could change their actual appearance. You know like in Mortal Kombat when you turn into a dragon and bite the dudes head off or whatever.
Squig Herder can basically turn into a Squig and the Maurader can pick and choose what kind of left arm he wants, a mutilated gross monster arm or a big shiny blade. That to me is pretty cool.

Also, I just found out two days ago that there's a soft cap on all stats, HP included, which fucking sucks.

Tier 1 is super fast BD and then it slows down. If you enjoy scens you should be able to have a decent enough time grinding through T2 just doing that though if your server is destruction imbalanced you might have a long time between queues (one of the perks of playing order I think there are only 2 order imbalanced servers). Also around T2 renown gear starts to suck balls so you may be better off hanging out at a PQ grinding influence in between scens rather than just sitting where the scenario quests are.
Upper 30s witchelves can become completely retarded. There are some 36+ epic quests that give blue weapons at the end that have hidden procs on them which are all bugged. You can essentially bug it out to where each weapon you wield has 3 chances to proc. The witch elf weapons you can get with 300 damage procs on them that are unmitigatable. So with bugged out procs that can even proc on your kiss you can potentially do 1200-1500 damage in one round. (I probably have more hp than just about anyone order side on my server and in my tanking gear I only have like 8600).

At 11 what I was doing between Scens was taking T1 rvr objectives (sometimes barely, sometimes dying to the champ), but I assume that T2 will have none of those shenanigans.
My brother wants to go questing today, so, maybe we'll do that. Iunno, I like playing alone. But he is my brother... Sucks to feel obligated to not have fun.

I usually leave up STR and then when I get in battle turn on the Toughness and then keep twisting them. Once you switch chants the previous lasts for 12 or so seconds, and they're AE buffs AND debuffs at the same time (which just blows mah mind!).

Oh hey, guess what else is cool about Warhammer. Skills scale with level! No rank 2-3-4-5 of thumbfuck blister, nooo, only 1 thumbfuck blister skill is necessary and it gets stronger every level.

Hell yes. This was one of my biggest beefs with WoW. I'd be all excited to get a new skill and it'd just be a new rank of sinister strike. Bah. I'd rather I didn't get any new skill at all than be teased.

The only downside is you never see a huge improvement when you level. So unlike in games that have tiers of abilities you will never be like "Holy shit now that I got my new blah blah blah I am back to tearing through ass holy hardcore!!". Aside from that I think they did a decent enough job of giving you skills or tactics for most every level. My biggest bitch with skills is just that so many classes have such similar abilities. It makes for annoying fights in scenarios. Like no one has the super CC of DAoC but every class has so much sissy individual CC that when you pile a bunch of classes together some of the CC gets way out of hand haha.

Tor Anroc. You'll get mad the first dozen times, weep when you'll get close to the hundredth and just sigh once you're past it.
Mythic: Roots and mezzes are ghey, but hey, let's give every fucking class an annoying knockback and knockdown, that'll make for fun CC!
I don't care if DAoC was perfection incarnate in terms of balance, Mythic just doesn't know proper spell/ability design. Not only that, but they can't seem to figure out the math behind it either.
